I started this blog nearly 6 years ago and at the time it just an outlet for me to share my stories, recipes, and helpful tips with other moms. Over the years it has become an at-home job that allows me to take my kids to school each morning, never miss a school play or sports games, and just be present in their lives. It has been such a blessing for my family! I wasn’t able to put as much time into my work as I needed to until my daughter and my older son started school. Now I have more time to dedicate to my work!
But even with my two oldest in school, I still have a little one at home. He will be going to Kindergarten in the Fall and I’ve always been concerned about how he will do since he spends most of his day home here with me. Even though I rarely need to go anywhere without him, it’s still beneficial for him to be confidently independent without me. He needs to learn to play with kids his own age, without mom in the other room, if we are going to make the transition to Kindergarten in the Fall successful.
When I heard about KidsPark I thought What a great idea! They have an hourly drop-in daycare program with Early Childhood Education teachers there to help kids ages 2-11 years old with activities such as cooking, arts and crafts, sensory exploration, games or hands-on science. I can bring my son in regularly a few times a week, or for a last minute visit when I need a few hours of quiet time for conference calls. Not only are there no reservation required to bring your kids in for daycare, but you can also bring your kids in on evenings and weekends. That means my husband and I can finally have a real date night again!
If daycare is not what you need, they also offer flexible preschool programs with a curriculum including The Arts (music, drama, art, dance), Math Concepts and Science. You can pick your own schedule of days and only pay for the days you attend. They also offer private parties with a hostess to set up, clean up, and lead games and art activities!
Even when my son starts Kindergarten in the Fall, I will always have to option to take him to hourly daycare if I still need more time, or need to make an appointment. I can trust the teachers at KidsPark because I know they all have an Early Childhood Education background and have passed all background checks. If you need a flexible preschool, or just a few hours a week to run errands and get work done, or if you simply want your child to become more independent be sure to find your local KidsParks location!
