Every year for Valentine’s Day I send my kids with a non-candy item to share with their class because there is so much candy that comes with home! This year I found some great goodies at my local Dollar Tree. These cute little googly eyes were calling my name! When my daughter was little she watched a show called Oobi, it was only on late at night so we would record it for her. The characters on the show were talking hand with these googly eyes. It was a little strange, but she loved it!
For this Valentine’s Day projects I created a fun printable with “I only have eyes for you Valentine” to go with the googly eyes.
I cut out the cards leaving lots of room at the bottom to add the googly eyes. At first, I used a hole punch and bakers twine to tie the googly eyes to the cards. It was a little difficult to get them to lay right, but after some trial and error I found the right place to punch the holes.
Next, I tried to secure the googly eyes with washi tape. This was much easier, although I like the look of the twine better. Either way, they are very cute!
If you don’t have a Dollar Tree near you, you can also get googly eyes on Amazon. I’ve added links to supplies below.
