Tissue Paper Flower Hats

I made these flower hats while my daughter was at school. They were fairly simple to make, just a few supplies I already had around the house. They were meant for a tea party, which we had promptly after lunch, but then she wore it outside to play in the mud….and out to get the mail….and to dinner. Needless to say, she enjoyed the hat very much!

Supplies:

  • Tissue Paper
  • Scissors
  • Stapler
  • Paper bowl
  • Mod Podge
  • Sponge (to apply Mod Podge)
  • Glue
  • Headband

I made the tissue paper flowers using different colors of paper. You can find the tutorial for the flowers HERE, just don’t include the stems.

I used the Mod Podge and sponge to cover the hat with left over tissue so that you wouldn’t see white spots. Then used a glue gun to add the flowers to the bowl. Lastly, I glued an old headband to the inside of the bowl so that it would stay on her head.

Here is the tea part in action…..Tissue Paper Flower Hat - Tea Party

I hope that you enjoy these lovely party hats and make some of your own!
