Upcycled Pencil Holder

Upcycled Pencil Holder

When my daughter starts school I know that she will need a “homework station.” It worked well when she was in Pre-K to have a place at the kitchen table with all the supplies that she needed in one place.

Pencil Holder Supplies

I made this pencil holder from a Carnation breakfast canister and scrapbook paper. Simply cut the paper to size, apply Mod Podge to the canister and carefully apply the paper smoothing as you go along.

Pencil Holder

This canister will hold her pencils, scissors, glue stick, crayons and anything else she might need. Last year we used an oatmeal canister. It worked well because it was tall so the pencils didn’t have to lay sideways.

Do you have a homework station set up for your kids? What does it look like?
