Washi Tape Birthday Gift Card Envelope

A few weeks ago I placed my first order for washi tape. I started to look around on Pinterest to find a few ideas and was immediately inspired. There are so many great ways to decorate common everyday items with this printed tape so I decided to start a series called Washi Tape Wednesday to show you a few of the ways that I have used it.

I bought a box of #1 Coin Envelopes a while ago for a project and later discovered that they fit gift cards perfectly! There are a few birthdays coming up in my family so with birthdays on my mind, I thought to decorate one of these little envelopes with the washi tape. I made a banner at the top by cutting triangles from the tape and then a birthday cake with just simple stripes of the tape.

I hope that you like the envelope I made! I’m excited to try more projects and share them with you. I hope that you will join me next week for Washi Tape Wednesday!
