Frosted Marshmallow Crispy Treats

A new season of the DreamWorksTV’s animated series “Trolls: The Beat Goes On” has just been released and one of our favorite juice drinks, Tampico, has partnered with the series to create a themed wrapped six-pack of juices in stores. My kids were excited when I told them about the Flavor Hunt because they love love love Trolls, so I thought it would be fun to make them a special treat to enjoy once they finish the game!
They love marshmallow treats so I made a batch and decorated them with some yummy frosting and sprinkles that would certainly be Trolls approved!
To make the treat you need to melt 6 tablespoons of butter in a pot at least 3 quarts big over low-medium heat. Then, add 6 cups of mini marshmallows and stir until they are all melted. Turn off the heat and add 6 cups of crispy rice cereal and stir until all of the ingredients are combined.
Pour the mixture into a 13×9 inch pan and press flat. You don’t need to grease the pan, there is plenty of butter so the treats won’t stick. While those cool, let’s make some frosting!
In a medium size bowl, use an electric mixer to cream 1/2 cup of softened butter until smooth. Next, slowly add 3 cups of powdered sugar 1 cup at a time and beat until smooth. Add in 2 tablespoons of Tampico juice (I used Tropical Punch) and beat until fully incorporated.
Now all you need to do is frost the treats! I cut the treats in half and used a spatula to remove each side and placed them on a piece of parchment paper. Spread the frosting on top, cut, and sprinkle!
