Knott’s Camp Spooky Halloween Family Event

I was invited to a media event by GigaSavvy in exchange for posting information about this fun family event. I received no monetary compensation and will be sharing my experience at the event in a future post!

Halloween is one of my favorite times of the year! It’s Fall and there’s pumpkins everywhere, which is always a favorite of mine. I love the bright colors of Halloween decorations and dressing up the kids in their costumes. But I have to admit, I’m not into the scary part of Halloween. I don’t watch scary movies or tv shows about ghosts, I leave that to my husband. He’s crazy about that stuff!

Fortunately the things to do in Southern California for Halloween are endless, and there are lots of great option that are also kid friendly and scaredy cat mom approved! This year I’m so excited to attend the Knott’s Camp Spooky Halloween Family Event. On weekends during October, Knotts Berry Farm transforms Camp Snoopy into Camp Spooky where kids can participate in lots of great Halloween events that celebrate cheer, not fear.

Kids can take part in “Snoopy’s Costume Contest” and show off their costume as they join the affable group of monsters, and the PEANUTS
characters, in a spirited procession through Camp Spooky.

Camp Spooky Theatre “Charlie Brown’s Spooktacular Show”: This show will have you singing and dancing in the aisles to all your favorite Halloween tunes.

Kids of all ages can explore the wacky hijinks of the  Monster Factory, a  fun interactive maze where the little ones create the things that go bump in the.

Also included with theme park admission, your little ghost, goblin or monster can fill their complimentary goodie bag with sweet treats given out at the five Trick-or-Treating locations in Camp Spooky.

At the “Creepy Crawly Critter Cave”  Knott’s park naturalists will amaze with slithery, slimy, creepy, crawly. The whole family will enjoy “Scary Stories at the Lodge” where master story tellers will spin the craziest, creepiest, silliest tales this side of the “Great Pumpkin Patch”.

And what goes better with a story than a delicious cookie that you can decorate yourself at the “Kooky Cookie Painting.”(Small fee applies)

When you have little kids it can be tough to find fun events for Halloween, but Knott’s is a theme park  that provides fun for the whole family and Camp Spooky is a great seasonal event for kids ages 3-11! Camp Spooky runs weekends October 5-27 and is included with regular park admission. Knott’s Berry Farm Theme Park operating hours are 10:00 am to 5:30 pm.

I hope to see you there!
