LEGOLAND Discovery Center – Opens April 2019!
When we moved to Texas we immediately started looking for fun family-friendly places to visit. One of our favorites from California that we knew we would miss was LEGOLAND. So when we found out that
LEGOLAND DISCOVERY CENTER San Antonio announced that the grand opening weekend of the all-new Ultimate Indoor LEGO Playground will be Friday, April 12 through Sunday, April 14 at the Shops at Rivercenter. SEA LIFE Aquarium will open alongside LEGOLAND Discovery Center in May 2019.
We are excited to welcome families and visitors from across San Antonio and Texas to experience the ultimate indoor LEGO® playground,” said Jeremy Aguillen, General Manager of LEGOLAND Discovery Center San Antonio and SEA LIFE Aquarium. “LEGOLAND Discovery Center and SEA LIFE Aquarium will provide high-quality, educational and interactive fun for kids and families. The attractions will add to the diversity of hands-on experiences available to San Antonio residents and visitors.
Specifically conceived and designed from a child’s perspective, LEGOLAND Discovery Center will feature 10 themed LEGO® play zones, a 4D cinema, two LEGO-themed rides, a Build and Test area, and the world’s biggest box of LEGO® bricks. The attraction will also feature MINILAND San Antonio, a replica of the city made entirely of over 1.5 million LEGO® bricks. Kevin Hintz, Master Model Builder San Antonio, will lead master classes and workshops for kids at the Creative Workshop, a space for kids to learn LEGO® building concepts.
