SeaWorld San Antonio Halloween Spooktacular

This past weekend we had the opportunity to visit SeaWorld San Antonio for their Halloween Spooktacular. This is our second year participating in the Spooktacular since moving to Texas and it did not disappoint! We always have a great time at the park, but the extra activities were a lot of fun. This year the trick-or-treating stations are all within the Bay of Play and we were able to get some pics with a few of our favorite Sesame Street Characters. Even my tween was excited to see them! After we grabbed some candy, we moved on to the hay maze, watched a few shows then sat down to watch the parade. It was a fun day and I’m so glad that we made the trip again this year!
SeaWorld®’s Halloween Spooktacular is running on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday now through October 27th and is included with any SeaWorld admission. Here is a breakdown of the kid-friendly Halloween activities that are fun for both kids and parents alike!
Spooktacular Activities
Trick-or-Treat at Sesame Street Bay of Play – Friday through Sunday from 11:45 am – 1:45 pm
Calling all ghosts, goblins, mermaids and superheroes for some trick-or-treating fun! Bring your reusable bags and grab your goodies before this sweet treat ends at 1:45 pm. Re-usable bags are available for purchase at select shops in the park.
Sesame Street Character Photos
When you’re walking around the Bay of Play, keep an eye out for your favorite characters! If you miss them, check the daily schedule to see when they’ll be on stage for a meet and greet photo opp.
NEW! Sesame Street Halloween Parade – Friday through Sunday at 3:15 pm
Everyone will love the new Sesame Street Halloween Parade, featuring ten fantastic floats all decked out for the season with music and dancing that will have everyone joining in the celebration. The parade features exciting performances about Halloween fun, trick-or-treating and dressing in costume! For an extra treat, book a dinner with all your furry friends at Rosita’s café.
Pumpkin Photo
There are several pumpkin, hay bale and corn stalk photo ops around the park. But be sure to stop by the large Halloween themed photo opp near the Penguin Encounter.
Hay Maze
Located near Alligator Alley, kids can make their way through the hay maze. Don’t worry, if you get lost a friendly scarecrow can show you the way!
Additional Activities
Pumpkin Patch Picnic
Pick your own pumpkin, paint it and then enjoy an all-you-can-eat picnic at Steel Eel Pavilion. Available select days and times during SeaWorld Spooktacular. This activity is not included with general admission. Additional fees apply and advanced reservations are required.
Spook-camp-ular begins at 7:00 pm
Time to let the grown-ups have some frightful fun at Howl-O-Scream while young ghouls and boys enjoy a safe experience. Campers will participate in fun and educational activities, games, crafts and so much more! This activity is not included with general admission. Additional fees apply and advanced reservations are required.
