SeaWorld Christmas Celebration 2014

My family and I received tickets to SeaWorld San Diego in exchange for sharing the details about their holiday celebration. Read on to find out what we did while at the park!

SeaWorld Christmas
Over the weekend my family and I went to SeaWorld San Diego for their Christmas Celebration opening day. We haven’t been to the park since last year, and we were pleasantly surprised that there were so many new attractions to see, as well as Christmas themed shows! When we first arrived at the park we were lucky to catch Shamu for a quick picture.

Then we headed over to the Explorer Reef to pet Bamboo Sharks, Sting Rays, and Horse Shoe Crabs.

We always like to make one of our first visits to Shamu’s Underwater Viewing area. We could sit there for hours and just watch the whales swim around, such amazing creatures!

Our first show was the Dolphin Island Christmas, we had never been to a dolphin show before so we didn’t know what to expect. My niece joined us on this trip, she has visited the park several times over the last few months. She said no one ever gets wet in the Splash Zone for this show we took our seats at the top of the zone. She was wrong. My son and I were drenched by the end of the show, yet somehow everyone to each side of us was completely dry! But the show was amazing and we really enjoyed it, despite getting wet.

We were able to walk around Santa’s Christmas Village for a while and see the reindeer, sip hot cocoa and eat a few cinnamon rolls. Then we were on to the Shamu Christmas Miracles Show. The show was late in the day so I didn’t get a lot of good pictures, but it was so good! I’ve been going to SeaWorld since I was a kid and this was by far the best Shamu show I’ve ever seen!
