Weekly Journal Prompts: #10

Weekly Journal Prompt - Need inspiration for your journal? Follow these prompts!

With Summer quickly approaching, I know that block of quiet time I have every day will soon disappear. It will be filled with the sounds of the kids playing, and fighting probably. My kids are older so I can ask them not to interrupt me in the morning while I practice yoga. It doesn’t mean that they will, but I at least have to try! On those days that I do not get my relaxation time, I want to think of other ways to relax and get that much-needed downtime during the chaos of Summer.

How do you take time out of your day to relax?

Meditation, yoga, reading a book – those are just a few of the ways that I like to slow down and relax. But I’ll be the first to admit that it’s difficult sometimes! Instead of relaxing and clearing my mind, I often find myself thinking about all of the items on my to-do list. But I know it’s important to take a break, to clear out the thoughts and worries of life even if just for a moment. This week take some time to write down ways that you relax. But also write down a few ways you can de-stress too. Are there small things in your daily life that you can change or cut-out that will help you relax? How often do you take time to relax, is there time set aside each week? Each day? Think about setting aside an hour each day of “quiet time” for everyone in your house. Kids need to wind down too!

I am using these weekly prompts to reach my goal of self-discovery and making the events and actions in my daily life more intentional. My intention in sharing them is to hopefully inspire you to keep journaling, or to find your own path!
